RBS Marine have proudly represented Rodman Boats for over 10 years as the Authorised Distributor for the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands. It is important to RBS Marine and Rodman to be able to offer both owners and buyers with local support, and together they have been working to expand their dealer network. Some 5 years ago, RBS Marine began working with PC Boat Sales in Jersey, a successful partnership that has seen many boats connected with new owners in the Channel Islands.
Now, RBS Marine are pleased to announce new relationships with Great Harbour Yachts in Greenock, Scotland, and Crosshaven Boat Yard in Cork, Ireland.
From their base in James Watt Dock, Greenock, Great Harbour Yachts operate a busy brokerage operation and new boat agency for Elan sail. Headed by Peter Cameron, who has a wealth of experience within the Marine Industry in Scotland, Great Harbour Yachts are ideally placed to support Rodman Sales in the North.
Crosshaven Boat Yard are based in the beautiful Cork Harbour, and as well as being the agents for Dufour sailing yachts and Seaward motor boats, they have a busy brokerage service, and boat yard offering movements and storage, boat maintenance and repairs (including gel, electronic and mechanical repairs).
RBS Marine chose to approach both Great Harbour Yachts, and Crosshaven Boat Yard, after working with the companies on Rodman brokerage deals, and were impressed with their service and ability. Ben Stevens, Managing Director at RBS Marine, visited both companies to discuss working together with the Rodman brand, and to see each set up for himself; “We have a fantastic relationship with Rodman Boats, and have worked hard to secure a reputation for providing quality boats for owners wanting a boat that is strong, practical, distinctive and adaptable. It’s an exciting time for Rodman Boats with the launch of the first new boat in the Fisher and Cruiser ‘Evolution’ range – the first Rodman 1090 Evolution has been sold to Guernsey, via RBS Marine and PC Boat Sales. This first unit has just arrived in the UK, and will be on display at the forthcoming Southampton Boat Show, 13th-22nd September 2019. Also coming in the next 12 months will be a facelifted Rodman 890 Ventura, and what may become the new flagship, the Rodman 1290 Evolution, a new model based on the proven Rodman 1250 hull. With a network of local representatives, RBS Marine strengthens its ability to introduce this new range to a wider boating community.
