1974 Camper & Nicholson 42

Camper & Nicholson 42 - Description

1974 Camper & Nicholson 42, sloop rig with Perkins-Sabre 4 cylinder diesel engine. ‘Jalingo III’ is a boat of two halves – on the one hand having received a number of recent updates, including new electronics, a relatively new generator, new wiring and she has an engine with low hours. On the other, Jalingo III has unfortunately been left ashore for some time which renders her somewhat of a cosmetic project. Offered for sale by the family of her owners who have now passed, Jalingo  III would be the ideal project for a knowledgeable person looking for a blue water classic cruiser. Jalingo has sailed around the world with her previous owners, and with some attention would make a lifetime of memories for a new family. 2024 survey available and boat available to view ashore by appointment at Birdham Pool Marina.

Broker’s comments

Having known met the owner’s of Jalingo some years before they passed, we know that she was a great source of enjoyment and adventure to them. The boat has received ongoing maintenance in some areas from a local boat maintenance company and the owner also had a very useful survey in August 2024. These sales particulars have been prepared based on this survey and what we have seen of the boat ashore. The survey is available to any prospective purchaser and provides a very good snapshot of the boat’s condition as much as is possible in her position ashore. Viewing by appointment is welcome, and with the boat being ashore please note access is via a ladder.
