1966 HoneyBee Class 26, built by William Boag, Largs. ‘Fulani’ has benefited from significant recent investment, including a new 16hp BETA marine diesel engine fitted in 2024, standing rigging renewed in 2023, and a Westaway mainsail and furling headsail, both approximately three years old. Fulani was purchased by the current owner in 2012 who has enjoyed the process of maintaining and updating her, but he is now reluctantly looking to move to a larger yacht to accommodate family sailing with his grandchildren. Under sail, Fulani is fast, responsive and confidence-inspiring. She tracks exceptionally well, requiring very little helm input to maintain her course, making her an ideal yacht for short-handed or single-handed cruising while also reducing fatigue on longer passages. Her rewarding sailing performance and traditional lines will particularly appeal to sailors looking for a classic wooden yacht with genuine cruising capability. Fulani is currently afloat at Birdham Pool Marina, Chichester, and is available for viewing by appointment.
