1994 Rustler 36, sloop rig blue water cruiser, with Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine. Gazelle of Itchenor, hull number 061, was built by Orion Marine in Penryn, Cornwall. With just 2 owners from new, she has now been in the same family ownership for over 25 years. In 2002 she was considerably upgraded in preparation for a circumnavigation which sadly was curtailed in the Caribbean due to illness. Those upgrades remain and many have been further improved upon. With both Genoa and Staysail on roller furlers and the twin line reefing on all 3 reefs lead aft to the cockpit, she is safe and easy to sail short handed as all sail changing is possible from the cockpit. The standing rigging has just been replaced, and the engine just serviced. With the highly effective Monitor self steering, wind turbine and solar panel power, a 27l/h watermaker and VHF radio, ‘Gazelle’ is ready for another ocean adventure.
