Like the Rodman 1090 Evolution launched in 2019, the Rodman 1290 Evolution is based on a proven, existing hull, and there are few hulls that are as iconic as that of the Rodman 1250.
The Rodman 1250 was launched in the late 1990's, and she firmly set the benchmark for the ultimate sports fishing cruiser. With the flared shape of the hull, she pushes through the waves with ease, creating the shape of angel wings with the spray. Her large cockpit is a haven for those who love to fish, and the deep walkaround side decks ensure the safety of the whole family, children and pets alike.
Now, this proven hull, gets a brand new superstructure, and stunning hull windows, as she emerges as the new Rodman 1290 Evolution. New features include side door, larger saloon windows, electric sliding roof (on hard top version), larger forward cabin skylight and new interior materials.
The interior of the new Rodman 1290 Evolution is a completely new design. The saloon is fresh and airy, with amazing visibility all round. Feeling modern and spacious, the you will enter through three pane sliding doors, and find the generous galley to starboard, with the 'C' shaped seating and saloon table to port, which is convertible to a large double berth. Forward of the galley and storage area there is a standard two person seat, but this can be modified to face forward, be higher, lower, or even to be replaced with your preferred storage. This is a Rodman, and there is always room for personalisation! The helm is to port with double pilot seat, and instant access to the side deck via the sliding side door.
On the lower deck you will find a huge forward cabin with large double berth and full length hanging locker. The guest cabin is 'L' shaped, with the door on the port side, but wrapping round to the midship, offering two adult single berths, though the berth to port would be large enough for two children.
There is still the choice with the 1290 Evolution to have a flybridge or hard top version, and you can choose from conventional shaft drive or the Volvo Penta IPS system - a fully electronic system that optimises important variables such as acceleration (0 -30 kts in 13 seconds), fuel consumption (30% less than conventional shaft drives), range, manoeuvrability and comfort. The Rodman 1290 Evolution features revised hatches above the engines (if IPS engines are specified) which provide greatly improved engine access through one large aperture coupled with two separate lift out thermal lined bait lockers also in the cockpit deck floor on either side.
